At Madre, we listen carefully to these aspirations, to each client’s lifestyle and priorities, and we work alongside them to create a one-of-a-kind kitchen that unites refined design with stress-free functionality.

To date, we have created more than 1,700 custom kitchens in collaboration with clients who truly cherish their kitchens and the act of cooking. In recent years, many clients have returned to us—selecting Madre by name when building a new home, or coming back to us again for a second or even third kitchen when renovating, rebuilding, or creating a vacation home or family residence.

Our clients are deeply passionate and knowledgeable about both their homes and their kitchens, and their enthusiasm inspires us. In response, we continually refine our craft, approaching each project with dedication and sincerity.

Madre itself was born in 2007 from founder Hitomi Yamane’s dream of the ideal kitchen and her passion for creating custom kitchens. That spirit lives on in every member of our team today, forming the foundation of Madre. And when clients tell us, “We are so glad we chose Madre,” it strengthens our passion and drives us to reach even greater heights in kitchen-making.

Our name, Madre, means “mamma” in Italian. It recalls the figure of a mother standing at the kitchen, the comfort of nostalgic home-cooked flavors. We aspire to create kitchens that are both refined and functional, yet also carry a gentle warmth and sense of comfort—spaces where beauty and ease meet, and where a touch of kindness is always felt.
